The ajax popup you refer to…

The "ajax popup" to which you keep referring is a modal dialog (or sometimes modal popup or popin). The "modal" means it's in the page and blocks other interaction. Unadorned, the term "popup" means its own window. Feel free to correct me again but have the courtesy to sign-in so I never see it. You should rewrite the Wikipedia page too since it's probably another branch of the conspiracy against "WebApp[space]™(Official) Welcome to."

The "heroin addict stole our code" shtick makes more and more sense. You'd have to be high to want to nick that code base.
