The last time the idea of a job section came up, it was opposed.

Job postings and advertisements are generally removed quickly, but this looks more like an actual discussion, which is why I'm replying instead of considering it. Although I think it's definitely not appropriate for Perlmonks (I agree with the reasons given before), who knows, perhaps the stats guy would like to add a job section to his collection of extras.
