in reply to Multiple scratchpads - one public, one private

There has been a flurry of activity among pmdev to work out a few kinks that turned up with the implementation of the new scratchpad system. It's starting to settle down now, but probably not 100% put to bed.

In a recent node, Re: Re: New scratchpads, castaway mentioned the possibility of multiple scratchpads in the future, so your idea doesn't sound all that far-fetched to me at all.

What I think would be interesting would be group wikis (or group scratchpads). These already exist for the assorted PerlMonks cabal, but could be a useful tool for groups of PerlMonks working together on side projects. Such a thing might be helpful to a small group of developers working on one CPAN module together, for example. Maybe the Monastery isn't the place for that, and maybe it's too hard to administer effectively, but on the other hand, maybe it's a new area of support the Monastery could offer to Perl users. ...just a tangental thought. ;)

One kind of group work is definitely FAQs. Why not merge group wikis/scratchpads and FAQs, getting the best of the two worlds in each world?
