Unless there is some dependancy you haven't disclosed -- say, for example, that the content of the file currently being processed determines which file to extract and process next -- your desire to extract them one at a time is not a war-stopper; it is merely one alternative approach: `Pseudocode: un7zip ($archive); @todo = readdir (extracted files); for $todo(@todo) { process as you wish... }` [download]	[reply] [d/l]

Most decompression/compression programs support extracting/adding individual files from/to an archive. This should work, but I only tested it against a .7z file. But I am not aware of any reason why it would not work with .rar files. `7z.exe e <archive_name.rar> <path_to_file_in_archive>` [download] Here's an example.
