Lets think about the act of creation itself for a moment.

By virtue of creating anything, whether it be a clay pot or code, you and I add a little hidden metadata along with it. That clay pot is more than just the pile of raw clay you started with; The clay pot contains your effort, your style, your approach. This is why paintings are discernable as a DaVinci vesus another Renaissance artist, even though the subject matter may be identical.

I'm sure that we would all agree that any piece of code, upon careful examination, yeilds a wealth of subtle clues about its author..things that speak of who we are, what we value, how we think, and what we consider to be important. Perhaps that latent image we leave behind means something more we think.
