Another good options for reading are perlintro and http://learn.perl.org. After you have familiarized yourself with the basics, have a look at "Learning Perl" book published by O'Reily and Modern Perl (also a book, available online for free).	[reply]

We don't have a beginners section as such. If you have a question regardless if you're a beginner or not then Seekers of Perl Wisdom is the correct place for it. If you're simply looking for advice for starting out learning Perl I suggest: perlintro http://learn.perl.org http://perldoc.perl.org The tutorials section of this site, including PerlMonks for the Absolute Beginner.
