    This seems like really bad advice and something you wouldn't want to brag about doing.

    Or it could be very poorly phrased.

    Adding to chromatic’s comment, the advice encourages something that is likely illegal depending on one’s work contract. Some employers take it extremely seriously, even where there has been *no* actual harm. Not surprising advice at all given the source but worth calling out for the record and the innocent who might otherwise think it might be good advice.

      Reads to me that he's never had a client larger than a ma-and-pa three person client before. Anything larger requires a proper contract including IP rights and an NDA.
