Do you have a locked user account for me against which i can test this? Just to make sure my homenode parser isn't more crashy than it already was? (I really need to bugfix that thing one of these decades).

Oh, this brings new ideas for watches

      • watching nodes mentioning my name
      • watching nodes mentioning certain names
      • unwatching users mentioning certain° names

      ;-p

That is already on my to-do list.

I think that's too much. Maybe in the future we can have a general pattern-matching-based alerting system. There's a name for this. Active queries, or something like that?

In case you need more recalcitrant users for your testing, Perl Monks Vandalism References draws special attention to two more notorious Perl Monks:

    • BrowserUk - Account disabled
    • beautyfulman - Multiple nodes named "beautyfulman" (locked_user) were drunk

Glad to be of service by reopening old wounds :-)

      Account disabled

Disabled accounts should be indistinguishable from normal accounts, from the perspective of any automations. When an account is disabled, the user simply can't log in.
