Yes we are at it again, please see the official announcement on r/perl. This is not affiliated with TPRF in any way.

The Conference will be virtual, FREE to attend over Google Meet, and result in a Science Perl Journal Winter 2024 Issue. We're finalizing the Summer Issue as I type.

Please note that we are accepting 3 types of publications, the newest one is a 1 page extended abstract that translates to a lightning talk.

Can we have some transparency on whom it is affiliated with? Governance, etc.
See the bottom of https://science.perlcommunity.org/spj — Will B of “RPerl” is certainly involved. - parv
Yes, your point? This would not have happened without him.
The Science Perl Journal is a high quality endeavor. Check out the talks from the TPRC 2024 Science Track on YouTube to get a sense of the work. Other than some unneeded attempt at factionalism why is this question of the organizers asked in such a frantic way? The people involved are all solid contributing members of the perl community and the fact that this effort to publish a journal is being made should be applauded!
        Thank you!
