Another alternative target could be Meditations

I think that if this is going to be done at all then that's a better place for them. Not sure that any of the examples you've posted here really count as News (although I haven't perused the podcast). Also, if they start off in Meditations it's easier to relocate them post-facto, if desired.

Maybe try it for a week or two and see if there's any traction?

    I think the rationale for using the News section is that these are just links to external content, and traditionally the expectation was for Meditations to be more substantial content for discussion.

      Exactly. It's not that there can't be discussion ensuing from a PN post; the main difference is that the OP is simply sharing a link to something offsite, vs presenting their own ruminations on a topic and including relevant off-site links.
