    people say, “you don’t know what you are talking about.” I’m not quite sure how you conclude that. The absence of source-code in a post?
    No, the inclusion of “Perl source code” that has (as already pointed out by Eily):
    • C++ comments
    • postfix modifier syntax with the unless first
    • declares scalar $record yet uses hash %record
    • $record == {} checking if the hash in $record has the same address/ID as a brand new, and different hash.

      So he still hasn't fixed it?!

      S-Dial be like:

      "My code's not in danger, Eily! My code is the danger!"

    I do not down-vote anything, anywhere, anyone
    From Re: Meet Slang! by sundialsvc4:
    Humble Monks, I just spent half of my “dog votes” today voting-down this entire thread

    so many people say, “you don’t know what you are talking about.” I’m not quite sure how you conclude that.

    Its real easy when you spout nonsense on a subject that one of us does know what we're talking about.

    Which here, means for every subject you post a BS answer reply (you never answer the question), someone here, and usually many someones, see through that BS instantly.

    If you'd put half as much effort into learning something -- Perl, or any related field -- as you have into trying to convince us that we are all wrong about you; by now you'd actually be able to answer some questions.

    "the utter quickness and confidence with which so many people say, “you don’t know what you are talking about.” I’m not quite sure how you conclude that."

    Recently:

    How many more examples do you need?

    "But I will drop down-votes nowhere. I do not down-vote anything, anywhere"

    Unsurprisingly, this conflicts with your other statements, some quoted in this very thread. What credibility should anyone place in anything you say, technically or otherwise?

    Update: minor edit and formatting

    I'm not quite sure how you conclude that.

    Simply by being factually and provably wrong in so many of your posts, and ignoring even well-intentioned attempts to correct you, you have destroyed all trust in your competence and good intentions. Finding plenty of examples in your posting history is an easy task.

    I'm disgusted and embarrassed about the entire lot of you.

    Oh please. The negative responses you get are not evidence that this community is somehow bad or particularly negative, in fact it's a testament to how open it is that you haven't been banned and that you still get plenty of well-measured responses, despite your continued abuse of this community for whatever campaign you think you're running. You bring the negativity upon yourself, no matter how hard you try to ignore your guilt.

    How do you, in good conscience, actually say that, in such a public place, taking pains to call-out the individual by name?

    For the same reason that criminal records and sex offender registries exist: to protect the innocent from you.

    Also amazing, frankly, is the utter quickness and confidence with which so many people say, “you don’t know what you are talking about.” I’m not quite sure how you conclude that.

    Yes you are, we've told you many times in excruciating detail, you ignored us and just kept posting the same nonsense for years and years.

    Can you not remember or are you simply pretending?

    You know your whole posting history is available for you to read at any time

    Why does this comment remind me of Saruman's words after his defeat at Orthanc, the tower of Isengart? Just curious... I guess it's just display of the same folly.

    perl -le'print map{pack c,($-++?1:13)+ord}split//,ESEL'

      Monk, I served with Saruman. I knew Saruman. Saruman was a friend of mine. Monk, S-dial is no Saruman.

        Of course not, Anony-Tongue, of course not. It is just that I was reminded of such, and am hence pondering why that might be so.

        perl -le'print map{pack c,($-++?1:13)+ord}split//,ESEL'

    I would have been barbecued, then, no doubt, for having been the one to point out ... could best be replaced by simply using Parallel::ForkManager

    Oh, but you did.
