Anonymous Monk has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:
First I'll introduce myself. I'm still 'Yet Another Perl Programmer', ex-perlguru forumer.
______
For some time now, I've been working on my own forum (info) and see it in "action".
Now I want users to be informed by e-mail that a message has been posted.
a. Any tips for efficience of this?
b. I've seen some mailinglist samples using fork() What's the advantage of that? (I understand the basics of fork(), nothing more, since I'm still busy within the win32 crap)
_____
Well. I just typed the question in here, since I can't find a concrete forum or something else. Or is that my fault? My forum might eventually become useful ;) Anyway, I'm typing HTML here... incredible
