Have you considered getting DSL and just hosting it yourself? Most DSL providers these days do static IP addresses. Throw up a recent Linux or *BSD distro on a box that's up all the time, install Apache, wu-ftpd, (sendmail|qmail|postfix|whatever) and have at it.

It's not suitable for high-volume work, but it's really not a big deal. I've been doing it myself for years...

Have you considered getting DSL and just hosting it yourself? Yes, that was part of my plan, but then DIRECTV DSL went under. . . and I haven't found anything to fill the void.	[reply]

Ah, I missed your location--should've checked first. :) In that case, I'd definitely recommend pair, as they seem quite clued as these things go.	[reply]
