A month ago I was wondering whether or not exists a way to get better perl-Tk GUI that it currently have. Perl, Unicode and Tk -- they should be together! was a start.

After I've spent a couple of weekends on this I discovered that things are doable even easier than I initially thought.

I've placed some explanations at http://home.peterstar.net/vkonovalov/tcltk.htm Previous my release on CPAN was too early to be very glad of, but now, after I've rewrote many of tcl widget demos to perl with tcl, I became much more optimistic and even started to use them in my release programs at work.

Now those are available at CPAN as Tcl-0.5.tar.gz and TclTk-0.5.tar.gz. I hope further versions will have fewer TODO list :)

Courage, the Cowardly Dog
things, I do for love to perl...

  • Comment on Perl could do Tcl/Tk with full Unicode support...
