I've got 2 Open Source projects that I've opened on http://www.sourceforge.com. Is it O.K. if I call for developers / ideas here on the Perl Monks. These are GPL projects, so no one will get paid (directly) for this. I just have a couple of ideas that I think would be great for the Perl community to address. If you want to check them out, they are at http://btrtools.sourceforge.com and http://sdsproject.sourceforge.com. I don't want a call for developers to be confused with SPAM. Poetic Justice

I don't have a problem with it, but I wouldn't want to see it become a habit here at perlmonks.org . I feel it's more of a site for advice and learning, not for industrial strength project development (sorry, not meaning your projects are, I'm just taking an extreme as an example).

That is, academia is to perlmonks.org as production is to sourceforge.net -- They are two different, but not wholly incompatible things.

Yea, I thought about that later. (with tongue firmly planted in cheek) I feel like a money changer in the temple for doing it. Thanks for listening. Poetic Justice

    It's not http://www.sourceforge.com, it's http://www.sourceforge.net and http://sdsproject.sourceforge.net http://btrtools.sourceforge.net. Apologies for the inconvenience. Poetic Justice
