in reply to (Ovid - please refrain from personal attacks) RE: Kung-fu vs Perl
in thread Kung-fu vs Perl

There is not one of my postings here that I am proud of. I have explanained my misconception, Ovid's reply appeared to reitterate BuzzCuttBudha's rallying reply adding asides and ambiguous taunts.

I looked to prove my point and return what I percieved as insults from Ovid. In the process, I found I was wrong in both beliefs.

What I now know about Kung Fu: the basis for my meditation was wrong and my subsequent mails missed the point equally.

I am sorry for any ill-will generated by this posting, I'd like to see it sink into non-existance, remaining only in my memory as a lesson in attaining humillity, patience and enlightenment.

I will cloister myself and find a Perl/Kung-fu crossover way to atone. :-)

And lo I have one, it is the Hagakure, a script written by a 17th century Samurai. It's quoted from in the film "Ghost Dog the way of the Samurai", it's a brilliant film and the book is good read, I'm toying with the idea of making a fortune from it, but somehow that may denigrate it.

So often in reading from it, I find comparisons to the life of a Perl Hacker.
