I appreciate the (sort of) help - BUT - I fail to see the usefulness of a ten year old docment: The State of Web spidering in Perl - there is nothing usefull on there and it is nearly TEN years old!! And there is no consensus on how to actually so web-scrapping. That is EXACTLY WHY I am asking - you talk of "state of the art" and point to a decade old document??

you know what bollox - I will just use Python - Like the rest of the world - you guys are so far up your owns you cannot see reality - the world has moved on - screw the Perl community it's dead weight anyway...
