I originally started programming in Pascal, which I learned in a college course, but then I stopped taking classes for a while. In 2000, I started working for a company where I started using perl, PHP, and C/C++. I found that while I can understand the flow of a C/C++ program, I couldn't write a program in it. I found that PHP was fairly simple to understand, and didn't have any problems with it. And saving the best for last, perl is easy to understand (unless you are trying to figure out one of
Erudil's obfu's) and is just a fun language to play with.
