As a general rule, I test regexes only (haven't posted large code blocks for the most part). (I will occasionally post untested code and then update it once I've had a chance to test it.)

I do my best to follow perlstyle to the letter, even if it's not my instinctive style, because I think SOME standards are better than none. Unless it is totally illegible, I'll leave other people's code alone.

I never test others' code here, unless I'm suspicious. I'll always work to understand how code works before putting it into my work, so if there are errors, I'll find them (or just not understand and ask for help)
