I get 40 votes a day, but I usually spend about 5 - 15 of them. Mostly on correct and/or well thought out answers to questions, and interesting questions/discussions.

When there is a really interesting discussion going on with lots of good replies, I might spend more, but on the whole I don't have the time to consider so many nodes that could spend all my votes in a day.
