I am trying to use wsdl2perl.pl from SOAP::WSDL (V2.00.05) to process a WSDL file at http://ec.europa.eu/taxation_customs/vies/api/checkVatPort

I believe I have installed the SOAP::WSDL and Expat stuff correctly, but I get a number of errors. Here is the command line:

perl wsdl2perl.pl -b /var/www/vhosts/syntagm.co.uk/cgi-bin http://ec.e +uropa.eu/taxation_customs/vies/api/checkVatPort

And here are the error messages:

Use of uninitialized value in hash element at /usr/local/share/perl/5. +8.7/SOAP/WSDL/TypeLookup.pm line 235. Use of uninitialized value in hash element at /usr/local/share/perl/5. +8.7/SOAP/WSDL/TypeLookup.pm line 235. junk after document element at line 2, column 0, byte 22 at /usr/local +/share/perl/5.8.7/SOAP/WSDL/Expat/Base.pm line 79 at line 2 at /usr/local/share/perl/5.8.7/SOAP/WSDL/Expat/Base.pm line + 82

I am not completely new to Perl but I am pretty much a Linux newbie, so there may well be a problem with my configuration. (I am running a virtual private server with Ubuntu and Perl 5.8.7.) Any help gratefully received!

Regards,

William
