already have a itunes dev license. although haven't sold any apps yet.
i imagine the interface to be (simple) drill down type thing where you don't need to zoom in/out all the time...but yes in the end the embedded webkit would be used to render ajax retrieved perlmonks nodelet. still thinking if any other cocoa gui element can be put to good use to give good functionality..but not gimmick.
on the native browser vs app debate: sure you can bring up the basic stock quotes or weather info and a lot of stuff right in the browser...but then you wouldn't get the added functionality of the extendable cocoa gui elements, gps, etc. some things are indeed better left in browser; but some can get good extra functionality being on a touchable screen interface paradigm. having less screen real estate forces clear thinking about the design.
anyhow...see how goes.
