Would it have inconvenienced your precious typing fingers to cut and paste your code that is failing to work? When you say "Code is posted." you can't be serious, since the only Perl code posted was by ckj, and was simply an incomplete snippet presenting a partial example. The only code you posted was the C code that you wish to remove a multiline comment from.
