We can agree on that. I guess my thought process has been to work within the constraints of the existing tool, whereas yours is to advocate making the existing tool smarter. I hope that happens. Maybe there's someone reading this who has enough knowledge of the CPAN tester's tool-chain, and who has the motivation could come up with a patch that might be accepted.
