Also, not perl related, but the king of error messages i ever got is

File xy.z cannot be deleted. Not enough space on the volume.

This is of course caused by the the attempt of Windows to copy the file to the recycle bin before deleting it, but still it reads strange.

There are oodles of illogical error messages like that. The logical conclusion is the minimal example, and thus my favourite, which I saw on a site collecting of such messages. It appears in some version of Visual Studio IIRC: `┌────────────────────────┬───┐ │ Error │ x │ ├────────────────────────┴───┤ │ │ │ No errors found │ │ │ │ ┌──────┐ │ │ │ Ok │ │ │ └──────┘ │ └────────────────────────────┘` Makeshifts last the longest.
