When a hacker is doing everything right, there is smooth sailing. This causes management to think they don't have enough work to justify a full-time hacker costing the hacker his job.

A Hacker comes up with an idea, boss tells clients idea was all his, hacker walks leaving boss with idea and no chance of implementing it by himself. Clients leave, company folds. Yay me.
