wackattack has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

I have a cgi perl script that runs does a large amount of parsing on the fly. There is normally a 15 second delay. Just curious as to what is the best is the best method to show them the page is working. In otherwords, I am basically trying to create a time showing "Search is 50% complete" "Search is 70% complete" and so on.

I know how to find out what % I am at. I just want to refresh the webpage so it looks like the number is increasing.
