I looked at batch_tcp_syn_scan, You may need to run it as root. That test appears to scan ports 1024 and below. Which you would not have access to to as a non-root user.

You might want to submit a bug report, to skip those tests if running as non-root.

    maybe it was my firewall blocking outgoing traffic. doh

    any way i forced the install and the module seems to be working fine.
