Perl is installed by default on OpenBSD (i.e., in the base system, not as a port or package). Perhaps you can add this as a bullet item on your list...

    Granted, this is arguing from authority, but if something's secure enough for Theo de Raadt, just how insecure can it be? He is not known for a relaxed attitude about this.
