Krang CMS v3.00 released!

Krang is a 100% pure Perl open source web publishing/content management system, particularly well suited for high volume magazine-style web sites. Krang version 3.00 ("Kv3") is a complete rewrite of the CMS user interface. The new UI is fully AJAX-enabled and redesigned for greatly enhanced ease of use. In addition, dozens of functional changes have been made to the CMS to make common tasks easier, and to add many new capabilities. The result is a much easier, faster, and more robust user experience. Major changes in this release include:

New AJAX interface and Javascript re-write.
Completely new skin.
"Save" button in story editor now truly saves to disk even when editing a sub-element.
Automatic slug-generation based on title and story type.
Any story type may now be a category index (aka, "cover").

Originally developed in 2003 by Primedia, Krang is currently used by hundreds of well-known web sites including New York Magazine, Motor Trend, Soap Opera Digest, In-Fisherman, Guns & Ammo, Florida Sportsman, Game & Fish, Equisearch.com, Power & Motor Yacht, and many more.

Krang provides a powerful and easy to use story and media editing environment for website editors, as well as a complete template development environment for web designers. On the back-end, Perl programmers can customize Krang to control the data entered in the story editor and add code to drive the templates to build output. Krang can be enhanced with add-ons containing new skins and other new features. Krang easily handles large data sets and can manage multiple websites in a single installation.
