in reply to Connecting to OpenOffice Base
In addition to grep's correct reference to the open office website, it appears that they are suggesting you use the Java Access Bridge as your interface handler.
I found this reference on the open office website
Java Access Bridge
Since you haven't elaborated on the desired outcome of your system, I can only bring up the questions based on my own experiences. I hope you do well on this project, and hope that the links and suggestions/questions will help get you to your goal. It looks like you are destined to use the Java Bridge, but consider the following:
Have you tried to link to the OpenOffice tables using your Windblows MSAccess?
Are you writing this in activeperl an Windblows, and then plan to move it to a MacPerl environment?
Is the Windblows XP going to be a part of the end system?
I ask all of these question due to your comment about having this code already working for MSAccess.
There are ODBC's available for the use on a Mac that let you plug into Access databases from the Mac.
I googled and this was the top link ODBC for Mac to MS Access
Though this is not a Perl solution, it may be an easier path to success; However, that will depend mostly on your overall system design and use of your resources.
Good Luck!
