snowyy has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

I know Perl has a statistics module for Unix Platforms. Does Perl has a similar one for Win32? A statistics module that performs chisquare, regression and factor analysis. I cannot find it in any of the perl links. Would appreciate if someone can provide me the d/l link.

Thanks.

Pop over to CPAN and do a search for "stat", there's at least 7 modules that you can get by a quick count. Since I doubt that any of these use a special library to do the calculations, you should be able to use these cross-platform without problems. If you are using ActiveState's perl, you can also see if they have a PPM for it as well.

There are five Statistics:: modules that are available via PPM for Windows computers. You can find the list here. The working packages include Statistics::Descriptive, whcih I have used before (both under Linux and Windows) I think it will do most of what you require.
