I thought perhaps the site admins might want to update out-of-date links and that other members might be interested in having PerlMonks-related merchandise. I guess I could have just bothered someone individually, but that only accomplishes something once that one person has a chance to do something about it.

By posting, I've made a record that there are issues with the page in question so other monks know they don't have to bother the admins. I've given some pointers on finding Perl and PerlMonks merchandise in the meantime until the page is updated. I've maybe even opened discussion on whether the links to merchandise are relevant since they have been allowed to become broken. If they are relevant, perhaps someone should keep them more up-to-date, and perhaps that could even be someone who's not already overwhelmed with running and maintaining the site.

Thanks for your reasoned response. My purpose in asking was to get you to clarify your intentions and you've done that well (it was not to belittle your effort).

My approach would be to ignore the stale links, since I suspect the site admins are very busy people. But you are not me and are indeed correct in posting. Thanks :)
