As most perl monks tend to be slightly biased towards Perl I doubt this is the place to find truly objective comparisons of Perl and Python.

If you present an actual use case or problem, perhaps someone here might be able to shed some light on possible solutions which you can then compare with answers from "PythonMonks" or wherever you find Python enthusiasts on the 'net?

    The very reason for python's existence today is the hatred for Perl. Is that even a Purpose?
