Where is my understanding wrong? 
(my $file_name) = $line =~ /
                        \/ #match a front slash "/"
                       [^\/]#dont match any more frontslashes
                       (.*)#match everything after / and save
                        \s-\s#match a " - "
                        /;

    Hmmm... semicolon? previously you said it begins with semicolon: 
    (my $file_name) = $line =~ /;\/[^\/](.*)\s-\s/;
