    What are the min and max of these numbers? What are the typical and maximum spans of the regions?

      The range can be anywhere from 200 to 300 or more. There is no defined min and max.
        There is no defined min and max.

        Would it be fair say that min is typically 0 and max < 2**16 or 2**32? (Which?)
