my @guys=qw(Tom Dick Harry);
my @gals=qw(Jane Mary Pamela);

# The real work ...
my %marriages;
@marriages{@guys}=@gals;

for my $guy (keys %marriages) {
    print "$guy - $marriages{$guy}\n";
     }

prints 
Dick - Mary
Harry - Pamela
Tom - Jane
