Is it really going to save time to start from scratch
instead of say putting energy into B::CC/perlcc ?
I have not used it myself, but it looks like something that
could benefit from the community, if Malcolm Beattie is
still working on it. Otherwise quite excited, we've
needed this for a looong time.
Comment on Re: The Perl Compiler (turning perl scripts into binary executables)
No-one said we would start from scratch....we may be using
something that Malcolm wrote, but his basic idea is to use
a c-compiler to create the executables and that's not likely
to become our way to do it...
But who knows....
