Neither say good nor bad

Respected monks,
I was reading I'm glad I know a little perl... and I wonder: do you actually think that "on this very site, you can neither say good nor bad things about perl"?

You can say whatever you want on this site. If it's unpopular, you'll just be downvoted and lose XP. I think that kiat's conclusion is ill-formed. There are many reasons to downvote, not all of them perl-related, and I don't think that any single person can be said to speak for everybody on the site. Nothing that is said will be universally popular, and the presence of a voting system encourages people to express their views, albeit in a very limited way.	[reply]
