Personally, I think the idea to allow ++ on home nodes
is good, but not if allowing -- were a contingency, for a couple of reasons:
- Users should have a means to exress themselves
without fear of being --'d. Currently, this is limited to
our user name choice, home node contents (or lack thereof)
and use of the CB. I know you said that you wouldn't -- a
home node, but that doesn't mean less scrupulous users
wouldn't if given the opportunity.
- Users that don't know how (or prefer not) to modify
their home nodes should not be penalized.
Perhaps a better forum for this would be a weekly poll that
counted votes based on write-in nominations.
If the code and the comments disagree, then both are probably wrong. -- Norm Schryer | [reply] |

I'm afraid I'd still have to stick with the weekly poll
idea for write in votes (not ++/--). Perhaps the
weekly winners could garner a few XP but I can't see giving
oodles of XP for home node decor.

Well I guess I should have titled it more of a "contest" rather than a war :o).
That is an excellent idea acid06! I have always wanted to ++ peoples home nodes once in a while. Good idea!
