There's a number of possibilities here; for instance, that could be line 621 of some module you've loaded. Please provide the message in its entirely (preferably within `<code>...</code>` tags). Also, if you're able to narrow down where in your script that is occurring, that could help in determining the cause. Can you reproduce the error in ten lines of code? (Doing so will probably take some work, and that process will probably lead you to discovering what the problem is.) Dave	[reply]

Add `use Carp::Always;` and you might get a "stacktrace"	[reply]

I Guess you will be using `open()` function call in your code with \| character. I will be better you can post the code to further checkup. *All is well*	[reply] [d/l]

“... is usually a typo” is your number-one clue here. Did you, say, omit a quote-mark in a string a few lines back? Did you typo something? Look extremely carefully at the source-code in the immediate vicinity. The author of that message is trying to tell you that it is probably a red-herring.
