Then, this might be an occurrence of a rare phenomenon known as bit decay. Did you put some plutonium in your program? If yes, you should probably try to remove it from the program. ;-)	[reply]

:) no plutonium at all in the code... not sure if perl devs here have ever come across such a strange thing running the 'corrupt' binary produces one of the following 2 outputs > seg fault > can't locate PAR.pm in @INC... seems like the bundled binary is 'losing' some libraries over a period of time	[reply]

Files don't change size by themselves! Either a human is doing it; or another program is. What happens if you set the file deny-write to everyone?
