Dear Master, it's a great pleasure to find your post on counting uncompressed and compressed files that I requested a month ago. I'll test it soon but I am sure it'll surprisingly generate the correct result. You are so respectable to all the learners, so much appreciate your creative contribution!

Well mate, If I could help, I'm glad.
But check out for mistakes anyway, cuz I aint no master. :)

You are guru, no doubt. The uncompressed and compressed file size counting depends on the default file size, it seems there is no rate to be used as formula to count both of them from a gzip file. If the formula exists, yours is 100% correct. In addition, I count the file size from a flat file that I gathered from Operating System must be counted in Julian order and Julian data are populated randomly as some other gurus warned me. I have to keep working it out, and you help me work it out, it's a great appreciation to you. The most important is you direct me in a correct logical path. Thanks again!
