Anonymous Monk has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

Hello,

I'm fairly new to the game and thought I'd ask where the best places would be to list my scripts? I've found a couple, cgi-resources.com & hotscripts.com. There were others too, but I don't think they've been updated for a while. Does anyone have any suggestions? I would be very grateful.

Many thanks, .W.W.

There's always, unfortunately, Matt's Free Perl CGI Scripts, which is a bit of a horror-show. The quality of the code varies, but most would agree that it is somewhat lacking. Generally, it is probably best to avoid these where possible. Since, in many cases, you get what you pay for, the quality of "free" scripts is typically not that good. Perl Monks and CPAN, which has a script area, are, of course, some very notable exceptions.

davorg is in the process of creating Not Matt's Scripts, or an archive of replacements that are actually written properly.

If they are any good, post them here in Craft or Snippets. The main place where scripts are kept is on CPAN. If they're really terrible, Matt's Archive.
