PERL Oracle Wallet ~ORA-12578

Keele1987 has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

We are in the process of securing our scripts using oracle wallet and least to say it is not going smoothly...

This is the a simple connection script:

my $dbh=DBI->connect("dbi:Oracle:ADW_ADW_DHDEV");

and it gives this error:

 DBI connect('ADW_ADW_DHDEV','',...) failed: ORA-12578: TNS:wallet ope
+n failed (DBD ERROR: OCISessionBegin)
sqlplus> /@ADW_ADW_DHDEV
[download]

My env:

Any advise/help will be very much appreciated.

Hello, while I'm certainly no expert on managing databases a quick google of: failed: ORA-12578: TNS:wallet open failed turns up some things that look like they might be of some use but sorry if you tried all that already. And I think it might be worth mentioning that if you could reformat your post for better legibility others certainly more knowledgeable than I may be more inclined to assist.	[reply]
