Seriously, though, why do you not want to use print?

Other people have asked, plus provided advice, and you responded only to the advice, so I'm asking without giving any advice, because I really want to know what you have against the noble print command. Was your father murdered by a six-fingered print? Did a gang of print statements kill your dog? Did you lose your retirement fund because someone printed bad investment tips?
