in thread Which URL do you most often use to access this site?

Ah, the magic of subdomains and CNAME entries. Here's a nice one for the monastery, just to have fun with not using "www": http://pm.ru.gov.mil.org.us.eu.tv.ru.nospam.org.js.py.exe.zip.cav.ac/

Ok, true, it's a pain to use, because cav.ac enforces HSTS (HTTP Strict Transport Security) and obviously the monastery doesn't have the correct certificate. And i hazard a guess that all the uncool windows kids with badly written "security" software have to deal with a dozen warning popups right now ;-)

I'm not sure whether I qualify as an uncool windows kid with my grey beard and a Linux machine, but my Firefox showed me a "Did Not Connect: Potential Security Issue" page with no way to accept the risk and view the page.

I'm getting a warning page in Mobile Chrome that the certificate belongs to css.perlmonks.com

    Weiter zu pm.ru.gov.mil.org.us.eu.tv.ru.nospam.org.js.py.exe.zip.cav.ac (unsicher)

    I'm a cool android kid!

    Firefox gives this:

Websites verify their identity using certificates. Firefox does not trust this website because the certificate used by the website is not valid for pm.ru.gov.mil.org.us.eu.tv.ru.nospam.org.js.py.exe.zip.cav.ac. The certificate is only valid for the following names: css.perlmonks.com, css.perlmonks.net, css.perlmonks.org, perlmonks.com, perlmonks.net, perlmonks.org, www.perlmonks.com, www.perlmonks.net, www.perlmonks.org

    Error code: SSL_ERROR_BAD_CERT_DOMAIN

    Fehlercode: SSL_ERROR_BAD_CERT_DOMAIN
