You would be effectively listing their reputations. For instance, if a post has a reputation of 58, but I don't know, but that function is implemented:
Cutoff = 0. Node in list.
Cutoff = 1. Node in list.
Cutoff = 2. Node in list.
...
Cutoff = 57. Node in list.
Cutoff = 58. Node not in list.
So now I know.

I was thinking that the reputation limit would be fixed (somewhere around 60?), mabye with more than one cutoff limit (40, 50 & 60?). That way, the number of good nodes available in the list would increase over time and not get "stagnant" with the top N all time greats, and not too many nodes' reputations could be given away (not that the reputations would be listed - just that it would be difficult to figure them out).
