adamsj has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

I've hit a snag working through an example from MJD's Higher Order Perl and am wondering what the best way to ask for guidance is. I haven't post the code, because it's copyrighted, and I try to respect that. What's the etiquette for this?

HOP has always been freely downloadable. I'm very sure there is no problem reproducing limited samples here.

    Update

I followed Sleet's link to the licence agreement.

Apparently you need to cite this:

"from Higher-Order Perl by Mark Dominus, published by Morgan Kaufmann Publishers, Copyright 2005 by Elsevier Inc".

I personally would just link to the online source.
