If i recall it correctly for windows you must download the dwimperl Perl version. Infact also in the Padre's download page is stated the same.

There is also a standalone version of Padre, see Padre's howto

:) Install padre from cpan, the padre included with dwimperl for windows is as old as dwim perl for windows, which is still a very old release candidate of http://strawberryperl.com/release-notes/5.14.2.1-32bit.html ... newer versions of strawberryperl comes with newer gcc toolchain ... there have been 20 releases since then	[reply]

how did you address all these failed tests and failed installation issues? What issues? Please be specific. If you're talking test failures, 8 times out of 10 its simply a bad test, so I just ignore it. The other times its simply one missing feature -- not a big deal. For all other "issue" I check the bug cue for patches -- annoying yes, you could try getting the tarball/zipfile from github and trying to install that Other than helping other figure out installation issues, I don't actually use Padre ... last time I installed it was in 2014	[reply]
